Resume Polisher is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal information:

• Resume Content: The text you paste into our tool for optimization. This content is processed in real-time and immediately deleted after generation. We do not store, archive, or retain your resume content.
• Usage Data: Basic, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., number of generations per session) stored locally in your browser via localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
• Payment Information: All payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor (Creem). We do not collect or store your credit card details. See Creem's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Information

• Resume Processing: Your resume text is sent to our AI processing API solely for the purpose of generating an optimized, formatted resume. The data is transmitted over encrypted connections and is not retained by the AI service provider after processing.
• Service Improvement: Anonymized, aggregated usage patterns may be analyzed to improve the Service. No individual user data or resume content is included in such analysis.

3. Data Storage and Retention

We do not store your resume data. Your resume content exists only in your browser's memory during the active session and is eliminated immediately after the generation result is returned. There is no server-side database of user resumes. If you close your browser or navigate away before saving your result, it cannot be recovered.

Local storage: Your free trial count and payment status are stored in your browser's localStorage. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information or resume content with third parties, except:

• AI Processing: Your resume text is transmitted to our AI service provider for the sole purpose of text generation. The provider does not use your data for training or any other purpose.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

5. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. The Service uses localStorage (a browser feature) to remember your free trial count and payment status. This data is stored entirely on your device and is not accessible to us.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with the following third-party services:

• Creem: Payment processing. Their privacy policy applies to payment transactions.
• DeepSeek AI (deepseek.com): Resume text processing and natural language optimization. Your resume content is transmitted over HTTPS to DeepSeek's API for processing. DeepSeek does not retain, store, or use your data for model training. Data is discarded immediately after processing.

6a. AI Technology Disclosure

This Service uses DeepSeek AI (developed by DeepSeek, deepseek.com) as its underlying artificial intelligence model for resume content analysis, restructuring, and optimization. Specifically:

• Model: DeepSeek large language model
• Purpose: Natural language processing — analyzing resume content, improving language, optimizing structure for ATS compatibility, and formatting output
• Data handling: Resume text is sent to DeepSeek's API via encrypted HTTPS connection, processed in real-time, and immediately discarded after the response is generated
• No training use: Your data is not used to train or fine-tune any AI model

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Since we do not store your resume data, there is typically no data for us to provide or delete. For questions about your rights, contact us.
